Oversized Wood 'Senate Salad' Bowl & Serving Utensils, 1957-1958. This lot includes a large wooden party bowl over 3' across that had been used for serving 'Senate Salad' in 1957 and 1958, plus a long serving fork and spoon, and a mounted black and white photograph of the bowl in use in 1958, with U.S. Treasurer Ivy Baker Priest serving two senators. The bowl has two metal plaques detailing when the salads were served in the U.S. Capitol and what the ingredients were from different states.
