ERLING VIKSJØ, coffee table, Conglo Design 1970s, top with inset stones in concrete, frame in dalbergia latifolia, height 49.5, 80.5x140.5 cm. . The table model "Conglo" was produced by A/S Conglo Designs in Rekkevik v/Larvik from the latter part of the 1960s. . The model was a great sales success at home and abroad. The table was marketed by Bruksbo Tegnekontor A/S and can be found in their catalogs at the end of the 1960s. A/S Conglo Designs in Rekkevik was in the early years owned by architect Erling Viksjø, but around 1967 was taken over by other stakeholders. . . During the latter part of the 1950s and the first half of the 1960s, Viksjø, Carl Nesjar, Odd Tandberg and others experimented. with the conglo technique in relation to architectural decoration works, including Hydroparken and the Regjeringskvartalet in Oslo.
